Looking back at this past week, I have stretched a little bit after each workout, but my flexibility has not improved. The one thing I have learned is to become more flexible it takes time, for example, it doesn’t happen over the course of a week.
What I want to do is create a stretching routine for myself where I spend about 10 minutes each day stretching. I believe for myself the best time to stretch is in the morning because it is a great way to start the day and you can stretch in your pajamas.
I found an article that outlines 7 different moves that I will begin tomorrow morning.
The one thing I like about the stretches are they are not timed, each stretch is held for as long as 5 deep breaths. I believe this is better because you are not watching a clock and thinking how much longer, but the exercise of breathing helps you stay calm and acts as a destresser.
Over the next week, I will note how I feel after each day and see how much it helps me improve my flexibility but also creating a routine.
